Description
Our most popular Ceylon Teas come from the Dimbula region. Dimbula brews a superb rosy colour, with a vitality that can wake you in the morning, and keep you refreshed all day. It has a slight oaky flavour indicative of Dimbula, this results in a cup of tea with a lovely bright flavour, and just enough tannin to be refreshing and uplifting. In addition, the loose leaf produces an excellent rounded intenseness, and this means that it takes milk very well. Balanced to quaff all day, Dimbula is a tea that you’ll enjoy from dawn until dusk.
Our current seasonal tea selection from Dimbula, Dimbula B.O.P./B.O.P.F. is grown, and manufactured, on the Norwood Tea Estate, which lays tucked away along the ridge of Bogawantalawa valley. Situated at an elevation of 4,580 feet above sea level, the tea fields of Norwood are blessed with ideal microclimatic conditions and perfect terroir for fine quality leaf. It is notable that Norwood’s very own N2 cultivar adds to its unique character in Tea. Like all our teas, it is manufactured by orthodox methods, which gives it a unique flavour profile. For this reason, we recommend this as a perfect English breakfast tea, afternoon tea, or anytime tea.
