A well twisted leaf which produces deep bright red liquor with some body to the brew and a special character. The estate is situated on an elevated area within the Kandy district, on a high hill near the old Gingathena Pass. It is this elevation that helps to determine the character of the leaf during the season and causes it to develop a different character to its surrounding neighbours.
The liquor that will take milk if required but the large OP grade leaf also makes it suitable to drink without milk.
